Cesspools
A Cesspool is the simplest sewerage system : It basically takes all the effluent from a property and contains it. Cesspools are installed where the ground conditions are unsuitable for a soak away system. Because Cesspool has no outlet, it will require frequent emptying. The average daily water usage in this country is around 160 litres (35 gallons) per person per day, so even a small household of 3 people an 18,000 litre tank would need emptying every 5 or 6 weeks. This can be carried out simply by removing the access cover and extracting the contents using one of our vacuum tankers. If you need further assistance please contact our office.
